Note: This list is no longer being updated as of March 17. Because of new restrictions and shelter-in-place orders, it is safe to assume that every concert, performance, museum or cultural event in the Bay Area has been canceled or closed for the time being.

On March 17, a shelter-in-place order took effect for six Bay Area counties, requiring people to stay at home and leave only for essential activities.

On March 16, the CDC warned against gatherings of 50 people or more, including “conferences, festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events, weddings, and other types of assemblies.” Governor Gavin Newsom also called for the closure of all bars, wineries, nightclubs and breweries.

Stay up to date on full coronavirus coverage here.

Concern over the spread of the coronavirus has caused the cancellation of many concerts, performances and other cultural events in the Bay Area.

Below, see a list of cultural events, concerts and performances canceled or postponed due to coronavirus concerns. Many venues have enacted flexible refund and ticket-exchange policies. Click through the venue or event name for details, and for updated information about reopening.
