[#120H] Date Night/Face on the Fritz * Date Night - When Jet realizes that it's the anniversary of Carrot and Celery's first date, he wants to recreate that first picnic they had on one of Bortron 7's moons. The kids all get involved to help create the perfect date night. Curriculum: It's hard to have a picnic anywhere in the Solar System besides Earth - here we're not too near or too far from the Sun, so the temperature is just right, plus we have liquid oceans and a breathable atmosphre. Anywhere else, you'd definitely have a hard time enjoying a picnic outdoors.
    * Face on the Fritz - When the kids are trying to build a new pet house for Sunspot and FACE 9000 gives them mixed-up directions, they learn that it is time for FACE 9000 to get upgraded. In the meantime FACE 9000's "substitute," the "DATA-BOX," is an old Earth computer from the early 1980s. The kids need to learn how to give instructions in the way computers understand, putting them in charge of using technology in an active way. When FACE 9000 comes back, they have learned to appreciate him, as well as to be more independent thinkers.Curriculum: Technology has advanced greatly since the days of the giant computers that guided man to the moon in 1969. However, even though technology is very useful, it is still a tool, not an end in itself, and people still need to know how to monitor and program it.

His friend Zappa the snow leopard is an amazing balancer! He uses his big wide feet and his long tail to help him keep his balance. Nick and Sally don't have tails, but they see how Zappa moves carefully to keep his weight balanced, now they know what to do at home. Using broomsticks to help them stay balanced, Nick and Sally are able to cross the balance beam. And just in time to have some yummy bran berry muffins!
    * Marvelous Marbles - The kids are playing with glass marbles, until one of them rolls away! It was Nick's "extra luck never miss marble", now what is he going to do? Cat will take them to a sandy beach that's full of marbles! But when they get there, all they see is sand.Cat's friend Sharky McGee explains that sand makes glass. He shows them how sand is turned into glass and all the wonderful things you can make with it. Including marbles!

But Houston has a problem he's never been on an actual nature adventure before. He only assists his friends with their nature needs using his computer. How can he get ready for a nature adventure in a week? Never fear! Nature Cat and the gang will help! Onward and time-to-trainward! Hotel Hal - During band practice, some unexpected guests interrupt. Papa and Mama Vole (and all their young'uns) pop up to see if they can bunk with Hal. They're having a little problem at their burrow so they need to find shelter. Hal is happy to have the company at first, but when the voles start to take over and eat all his plants, it's time to ask the voles to leave. But in order to stay completely hidden George needs proper spy gear like "Double-Oh Doggy. " So using recycled materials from home, George builds his very own periscope. George can now stay hidden from the Man as he trails him around town - but will the ever eager Charkie blow his cover? * Castle Keep: While George practices his golf swing, Bill shows him how a little leverage can send the ball high in the air - much to the dislike of Jumpy Squirrel in the tree! So when George and the Man with the Yellow Hat visit Uncle Tam in Scotland, George is very happy to be able to practice his swing at the Castle Golf Course. But then a pesky squirrel steals his ball and runs off, and George is sent on a wild chase throughout the castle. Luckily, he remembers the principle of leverage, and he's able to pry open windows, pull book cases, spin wheels to lower a bridge and ultimately accomplish the perfect swing not only to retrieve his ball, but to uncover a special family document that will keep the castle in the family's possession. duration 28:46   STEREO TVY (Secondary audio: DVI)
