Joseph W. Walling is a filmmaker and founder of Long Strand Studios. Walling has produced a number of documentary-style public service announcements and educational films for numerous non-profit organizations including Americans for Cures.
Walling studied film and psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, earning a B.A in psychology and graduating with highest honors for his thesis on epiphany. He has been a visiting artist in the production department at Opera San Jose. By late 2004, he and B. Douglas Robbins began working on the documentary that would eventually become Debate Team.
