After a gunman attacked concertgoers late Sunday in Las Vegas, killing dozens of people and wounding hundreds of others, KQED collected statements made by California’s members of Congress reacting to the worst shooting in the nation's modern history.

We gathered comments made via social media, as well as from press releases sent out by each member’s office. We included links to their Twitter and Facebook pages where you can see some of their statements,  plus additional comments they’ve made.

We'll reach out to the lawmakers who haven't yet publicly commented about the shooting to get their reaction.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein

"I’m devastated this morning over the massacre in Las Vegas. My prayers are with the victims and their families. Thank you to the courageous first responders and law enforcement officers at the scene and the hospitals that are caring for so many wounded."

"Grim win for soulless gun industry. Gun sales will now soar -- from those afraid, & surely from a few who would imitate.  $$ all the same. Massive tragedy in Vegas with high power weaponry. More blood on hands of heartless NRA and soulless gun industry. When will it be enough? I hope President Nero enjoyed his golf weekend."

"The people of Las Vegas are in my prayers this morning. Thank you to the first responders. In September, I opposed the SHARE Act, a @GOP bill that will make it easier for people to buy gun silencers. It has always been unconscionable that @GOP wants to make it easier for people to buy gun silencers - today more so than ever. As a former 911 dispatcher, I know that identifying the sound & location of gunfire can be the difference b/n life & death."
