United States Withdraws from Iran Nuclear Deal

President Trump announced on Tuesday that the U.S. would withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, which he called “defective at its core”. The plan was agreed upon in 2015 by Iran, the five permanent members of the United Nation’s Security Council and Germany. The administration said it would re-impose the economic sanctions that were lifted under the deal. We discuss the decision, and what happens next.
