San Francisco artist Frank Wong is a 3-D memorialist. He has spent the last four decades crating his memories in miniature form, pulling inspiration from his life, family and city. His dioramas — each not much larger than a shoebox —reflect a life he once knew and encapsulate monuments of Chinatown’s past with vibrant romantic memory.

Forever, Chinatown is a multi-award winning documentary film presented in partnership with Local USA, The World Channel and KQED’s documentary showcase, Truly CA.

Produced and directed by San Francisco locals, James Q. Chan and Corey Tong, Forever, Chinatown brings nostalgia, dedication and revelation from the streets of Chinatown to the world and the greater San Francisco community.

Forever, Chinatown is produced in association with The Independent Television Service (ITVS), and The Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) and made possible by a special partnership between WORLD Channel and KQED.
