SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Roadtrip Nation, the award-winning educational non-profit and production studio, is set to premiere its newest two-episode series, “Where Wellbeing Grows,” on PBS stations nationwide and streaming this May 2026

While Gen Z’s mental health is a constant headline, this series shifts the focus from the problem to the solution. Following three young adults—Anjali, Davida, and Raul—the series explores an equitable vision of wellbeing by spotlighting the innovative careers and community-driven pathways that support mental, physical, emotional, and social health.

Expanding the Definition of Care

Roadtrip Nation: Where Wellbeing Grows takes viewers on a journey across the U.S. to meet leaders who are redefining what it means to heal and thrive. From the digital landscape to the physical environment, the roadtrippers discover that supporting wellbeing isn’t limited to a doctor’s office.

“This series speaks directly to young adults who are passionate about their generation’s mental health,” says the Roadtrip Nation team. “We want to spotlight actionable ways leaders are showing up, speaking out, and sparking change for the better.”

Episode Breakdown

  • Episode 1: Our Shared Healing The roadtrippers meet industry professionals who prove wellbeing isn’t one-size-fits-all. They explore careers in digital wellness, learn how professionals are servicing rural communities in need, and discover the importance of empathetic architectural design in creating healing spaces.
  • Episode 2: Fostering Compassion The journey continues with a look at health equity at a community farm and a deep dive into spiritual wellbeing through cultural connection and heritage. The roadtrippers also get hands-on with adaptive equipment designed to make the outdoors accessible for everyone, proving that public service and community care take many forms.

Redefining the Future of Health

Through art therapy, nonprofit work, and community activism, Roadtrip Nation: Where Wellbeing Grows highlights a diverse set of pathways for anyone looking to build a career with purpose. It is an invitation to explore exciting career possibilities that are creating a more equitable vision of wellbeing for us all.
