The Year in Review
This year began with the inauguration of a new governor and ended with the return of the last remaining troops from Iraq. In between, economic despair continued for many Californians, and sparked protest by others. The California Report's bureau chiefs in Los Angeles, Fresno, and Sacramento discuss these stories and what may be making headlines in 2012.

Coming Home From Iraq
The last American troops are home from Iraq, a war which left 471 Californians dead and thousands more with physical and psychological wounds. War changes those who fight, and also those who wait at home. For military families, 2012 will be a year of transition.

Getting Through Unemployment, With the Help of the Munsters

Music You Might Have Missed
Over the past 12 months our pop music critic Steve Hochman and jazz reviewer Andrew Gilbert have highlighted some of their favorite albums from 2011. As we get ready to ring in the new year, they're here to talk about some notable music that flew under the radar.
