What Immigration Reform May Mean for California
Federal lawmakers are putting the finishing touches on several competing immigration reform bills -- some of which may debut next week. One way or another, they're all expected to include some kind of path to citizenship for an estimated 11 million people already in the country illegally.

Banks Are Violating Mortgage Deal, Report Says
A survey of 84 housing counselors and lawyers in California found banks are violating the terms they agreed to in the multi-billion dollar National Mortgage Settlement. The deal with 49 state attorneys general ended government investigations into mortgage servicing and foreclosure abuses, in return for a pledge to behave better.
