A fire that started on the 7900 block of Mountain Boulevard near Keller Avenue in Oakland  at about 1:45 p.m. has now been contained, according to Cal Fire. Falling wires resulting from a car crashing into a fire pole started the blaze, which grew to three alarms at one point.

From the Chronicle's report:

The Oakland Fire Department said 15 engines and two helicopters, including one from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, fighting the fire. Other emergency personnel and Pacific Gas and Electric Co. crews were also on the scene.
