ACLU Sues State Over Education of English Learners

On Thursday, the American Civil Liberties Union goes up against state education officials in a Los Angeles County court room. The claim: California is failing its non-English-speaking students. The lawsuit comes after 251 school districts reported that thousands of English learners were getting no special language help. State and federal laws require these students spend a part of their school day learning the English language.
