San Francisco supervisors voted unanimously to require warning ads for soda--it's believed to be the first city in the nation to do so. The ordinance requires warnings on advertisements that appear on billboards, walls, taxis, and buses. However, soda cans themselves won't have to carry the warning. Opponents to the bill say soda is being unfairly singled out for contributing to obesity. The move comes after a soda tax on the ballot in San Francisco failed to get a two-thirds majority last fall.
