Next week, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a case that could challenge the very existence of unions representing public-sector employees. The case is a challenge to the California Teachers Association. It asks whether all workers represented by a union, even those who do not join the union, should be required to pay fees to fund the collective bargaining process.
