As we look back on the year, one of the big tech changes has been rules about drones. The Federal Aviation Administration released new rules to fly drones that should make their use more ubiquitous. And this year we saw drones deployed in a host of public safety operations, including at the deadly fire at an Oakland warehouse that killed 36. Now drones are going to be a key tool for California firefighters.
