Today also marks six months since the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history, the Camp Fire, roared through Paradise, Magalia and Concow. It killed 85 people, destroyed almost 19,000 structures and displaced tens of thousands. We go back to the morning the fire started, through a firefighter's eyes.

Understanding the Hurdles to Rebuilding
Dayna Silviera and her fiancé David Herrmann lost their home in the Camp Fire. They now live in a rental in Chico. They are young enough to start over, but Dayna is still reeling from the loss of everything they had worked for. She says that rebuilding in Paradise is looking less and less likely for them.

Schools Struggle With New Wave of Trauma 6 Months After Camp Fire
The trauma specialists working in Butte County schools knew they'd start seeing kids act out around six months after the deadly Camp Fire, since anniversaries are known to trigger survivors into reliving moments of the traumatic event. But there aren't enough counselors to help all of the students, teachers and staff dealing with this second wave of trauma.

PG&E CEO to Visit Paradise
PG&E's newly installed CEO says he'll be visiting Paradise today and tomorrow to see firsthand the impact of the Camp Fire. The announcement comes after a federal judge sentenced the company's entire board of directors to tour the scene of the catastrophe.

Six Months Since the Woolsey Fire
Today marks six months since a wildfire sparked in Ventura County and marched toward the sea, ripping through the hills of Malibu. The Woolsey Fire killed three people and leveled more than 1,600 structures.
