84 Arrested in Sacramento During Stephon Clark Protest
A small protest in East Sacramento last night grew into a much larger event involving around a hundred riot police and 84 arrests. The protest was in response to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s decision not to charge the police officers who shot and killed an unarmed Stephon Clark in his grandparent’s backyard a year ago. The 22 year old Clark, who was black, was holding a cell phone that police say they thought was a gun.

Why Aren't Oakland Teachers Happy With Their New Contract?
Many Oakland educators are NOT happy with the contract agreement that teachers ratified on Sunday to end a 7-day strike.Even with an 11 percent raise plus a 3 percent bonus, Oakland teachers approved the contract by a slim margin. This comes after LA teachers voted overwhelmingly to approve their contract at the end of their strike last month.

Newport Beach Teens and a Swastika Drinking Game
Over the weekend, images surfaced of Orange County high school students doing a Nazi salute at a party and playing a drinking game with cups in the shape of a Swastika. Newport Mesa Unified School District officials condemned the action and plan to address the incident at community meetings.
