U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup, who is overseeing PG&E's criminal probation, cautioned the company to "please be forthright" when responding to questions about wildfire safety.
"Please be forthright" sounds to me like the judge might as well be saying, "please don't lie."
Judge Alsup has a history of being pretty tough on PG&E, and I imagine the lawyers may want to treat him with kid gloves right about now.
Alsup ordered the company to respond to his questions by noon Friday.
