After Japan Quake, 'Aftershocks' in California
The scenes of devastation coming out of Japan following the 9.0 magnitude earthquake are riveting and heartbreaking. And while it's more than 5,000 miles from Japan to California, emotional and physical aftershocks are being felt on this side of the Pacific.

In Sacramento, the legislature is still debating Governor Jerry Brown's budget. Part of his plan to solve that deficit of more than $26 billion involves trimming funding for the state's fire-fighting agency, CalFire.
