Update 10:15 a.m.: BART Communications Officer Jim Allison says the Colma station is still closed due to a "fatality on the tracks." The coroner is at the scene.
Passengers who need to get to a destination in the Colma area should use the Daly City or South San Francisco stations.
There is no word yet on how the person ended up on the tracks.
The system is experiencing major delays unrelated to the Colma incident, at 19th St. Oakland in the Pittsburg/Bay Point and Richmond directions. BART says there is an equipment problem on the track.
