California law requires authorities to take a DNA sample from every person arrested on suspicion of a felony, whether convicted or not. This voter-approved law was challenged in federal court last week as an unconstitutional privacy breach.

Guests:

Michael T. Risher, attorney for the ACLU

Kara P. Dansky, executive director of the Stanford Criminal Justice Center and lecturer in law

Michael Rushford, president of the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation.
