Artists from the “Jingletown” neighborhood in Oakland are currently showcasing their experience of working and living in an artists’ neighborhood. In the first half-hour, we’ll talk about the history behind this colorful name and speak with some of the artists who find beauty in unexpected places. In the second half-hour, we speak with San Francisco native Arthur Dong about his new documentary, “Hollywood Chinese” which explores the manifold roles of the Chinese in American cinema.
