In the second hour of a two-hour live broadcast from the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley, Forum asks how prepared we are for a major earthquake, and considers what impact an earthquake will have on the economy, culture and lives of Californians. Forum talks with disaster relief and preparedness experts about how the Bay Area is working to ready itself in the event of a natural catastrophe, and looks at issues like building safety, retrofitting, water supply and communication between local and federal governments.
