 (Amy Goodman)

Twenty years ago progressive journalist Amy Goodman launched the radio show “Democracy Now!” as a daily national election show. That first episode examined “English only” laws and exposed the “millionaires who are having their way in Washington.” In the two decades since then, “Democracy Now!” has become an influential news program broadcast on more than 1,200 television and radio stations worldwide. Forum talks with Amy Goodman covering issues and movements that are often overlooked by mainstream news outlets and the role of independent media in an age of corporate consolidation.

Guests:

Amy Goodman, host and executive producer, "Democracy Now!"; author of "Democracy Now! Twenty Years Covering the Movements Changing America"
