Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals Reunite for New Album

In 2014, musician Ben Harper decided he couldn't stay silent any longer on the issue of police killing unarmedBlack men. He wrote a single, "Call It What It Is," that expressed outrage over institutional racism andcommemorated the lives of Trayvon Martin, Ezell Ford and Michael Brown. That track became the foundation foran entire album that Harper recorded with his band, The Innocent Criminals, marking their first collaboration inalmost a decade.
