Gavin Pretor-Pinney, founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society, believes that the world needs more cloud-enthusiasts. Cloud gazing, he says, provides a much needed respite from the fast-paced, digital age. In 2017, observations by members of the Cloud Appreciation Society led to the first designation of a new cloud type since 1951. Pretor-Pinney joins Forum to discuss why clouds are critical to understanding weather patterns and climate change … and for enriching everyday life.
