New Mapping Project Documents Development of the American West

Every 2 1/2 minutes a piece of Western land the size of a football field is lost to human development, according to a new project from the Center for American Progress and the Conservation Science Partners. The study is part of a collaborative project called "The Disappearing West," which documents the shrinkage of natural public lands due to human activities ranging from urban sprawl to logging and agriculture. We'll discuss the report and the changing face of the American West.
