As part of Forum's Election 2016 coverage we've invited all of the remaining major presidential candidates for one-on-one interviews. This weekend, Michael Krasny spoke with Senator Bernie Sanders who explained why he is "in it to win it" despite calls that he drop out of the race to unify the Democratic Party around Hillary Clinton. And we want to hear your reactions to the interview: Should Bernie Sanders stay in the race?
On Seeing a Path to Victory
“I’m the first to admit that it is a steep hill. But from day one in this campaign, everything we’ve had to do has been a steep hill. We’ve taken on the entire Democrat establishment and we’ve still won 19 states up till now and certainly I hope California will be one of the states…but we are in this race to win and we are fighting for every delegate that we can get.”
On Staying in the Race
"Anybody saying that the people in the largest state in the United States of America should not have a voice in terms of what candidate they want to be president of the United States or what the agenda of the Democratic Party should be, I think is extremely anti-democratic and I hope that anyone who says that should reconsider it.
