National Endowment for the Humanities chairman Jim Leach wants to restore civility to the national discourse. We talk to the former GOP congressman about his 50-state “civility tour,” and about his vision for the NEH. Prior to joining the NEH, Leach was visiting professor of public and international affairs at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School and interim director of the Institute of Politics at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
