Every Thursday, the KQED Arts blog features a new Video of the Week to help you forget that it isn’t Friday yet.
I have a fair amount of geek in me and you probably do too. For some people, it’s computer gadgets, comics, or Spock. My dorky vice happens to be a love of outer space. I have a favorite moon (Io, in case you were wondering — it’s covered in volcanoes!) and have seen the Planetarium show at the Academy of Sciences at least six or seven times (a brand new show about the life cycle of stars just premiered last weekend!). Judging by this week’s video, A Glorious Dawn, there are more people like me out there, some willing to take the time to edit together and auto-tune Carl Sagan’s ruminations on the cosmos, with a guest appearance by Stephen Hawking. The “song” is actually pretty catchy and available for download. The geeks shall inherit the universe!
If you have any crazy sexy cool videos of your own, share them with us and we’ll consider them for future installments of Video of the Week!
