Every Monday, the KQED Arts blog features a new Video of the Week to start the work week off right.

This week’s video is an animated short by Johnny Kelly called “The Seed.” Using a combination of stop motion papercraft and 2-D drawn animation, Kelly illustrates the resilience of Nature’s life cycle by following the perilous journey of an apple seed. Watch as the little guy navigates through the human body, makes a graceful exit into the sewage system, and cruises by jellyfish and in the beak of a clumsy bird on his way to rebirth.
