Brian Favorite

Raised in Los Angeles, Brian worked in the entertainment industry, primarily on sitcoms and tabloid television programs for fifteen years as a production assistant, camera operator, floor director and assistant director. A move to San Francisco in 1995, Brian continued this work, including directing live and live-to-tape programming at TechTV, until its demise in 2001. Realizing a dream of becoming a teacher, Brian acquired California, Illinois and Washington state teaching credentials, leading to a stint in the Peace Corps as an elementary school teacher and community organizer focusing on teen youth job development in radio and television in the Kingdom of Tonga, South Pacific. After service, he shot his first documentary now in post-production. Continuing work as a special-needs and general education teacher, Brian also produces promotional videos as well as a TV pilot about wine and food pairing while currently a graduate student at the Broadcast Electronics and Communications Arts (BECA) program at San Francisco State University.
