Update (April 8, 2015): Apple just released the iOS 8.3 update, which means these emojis can finally be yours! Here's a run-down on what's new:

For the first time in forever (yes, that's a Frozen reference), there is news on the Emoji front! Last March, we were promised new characters that showcased more skin tones than just Anglo-Saxon. Today, Apple is finally making good on that promise with the new beta of OS X they delivered to developers.

The main, much needed Emoji change? Skin tone options!

Christmas has come early, in the form of these diverse, multi-cultural Santas.

Adding to the diversity are new gay couples with kids emojis.screen-shot-2015-02-23-at-12-51-33-pm

They've also added more flags too. Cue "We Are the World."

They won't be available to the general public for at least another month though, so I guess I'll just continue yelling outside of Apple headquarters like I'm Jennifer Love Hewitt.
