Stiviano, in which he disparaged African-Americans and made one racist remark after another.\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>Four days later, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver banned Sterling for life and fined him $2.5 million. It seemed like things might settle down a bit after that. Silver said the league will also impose a $2.5 million fine, the maximum allowable under the NBA constitution, and added he will try to force Sterling to sell his franchise.\u003c/p>\n\u003cp>He said a league investigation found that the league’s longest-tenured owner was in fact the person on audiotapes that were released over the weekend.
