Los Angeles has achieved a major traffic milestone: all of its nearly 4,400 intersections with signals are now monitored and synchronized for better traffic flow. It's the first city in the world to do it. We visit the agency coordinating the effort, the Automated Traffic Surveillance and Control System (ATSAC), which occupies a former bomb shelter in downtown Los Angeles.
