Much is unknown about the new variant that was first detected in South Africa, and we’ll soon learn more about how infectious it is and what level of protection existing vaccines offer.
But one thing seems pretty certain: People have been pronouncing “omicron” in a myriad of ways (it’s “OH-mi-krahn,” but it depends on who you ask).
