Apple — with revenue of $265.6 billion in 2018 — isn't paying artists who perform at its stores.

Instead of cash, the company with the world's highest market capitalization is paying artists who perform at in-store "Today At Apple" events in merchandise.

Maybe I'm being too cynical, but something tells me there are more than a few artists in the Bay Area who would rather get some rent money than an iWatch or an extra pair of earphones AirPods to stuff in their ears.
