Families of Separated Migrant Children Stumble Through Background Checks
In San Diego, families searching for their relatives in migrant foster care facilities are going through a confusing process that includes background checks. Now some are worried these families, who include undocumented immigrants already living in the United States, are exposing themselves to ICE agents that could lead to more arrests.
Officials in Los Angeles have proposed a new solution to the homeless crisis. They want to set up temporary shelters all over the city. The first of these is set to go in Koreatown. But residents of that neighborhood are fighting back hard. And their frustration with the city has roots that go back years.
