Northern California's fire season is back with a vengeance as around 50 wildfires started over the weekend.

The largest of the fires, the Pawnee Fire in Lake County, has grown to 8,200 acres and is still zero percent contained, according to Cal Fire.

About 1,500 Lake County residents have evacuated their homes and wildfires in Shasta and Tehama counties have also forced people to flee.
