The S.F. Arts Commission voted unanimously to initiate the review process to remove the controversial "Early Days" statue.

The depiction of a Native American on the ground with a Catholic missionary and vaquero standing above him has been condemned by the Native community for decades.

Why not make "Early Days" represent an even earlier time, when the Bay Area's Ohlone were flourishing, back before the days of genocide?
