When it comes to digital interactive textbooks, the "highest quality resources are important," said the DOE's Karen Cator. "We're trying to use the power of the masses to push the best possible resources out there to bubble up."
"There are entire new ways of looking at textbook adoption," she said. "It’s very important to find new ways of thinking through the vetting process, and social networks give us incredible opportunities to do that."
