California has the largest proportion of female military veterans in the country. Many have returned home with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or sexual abuse trauma, and may have trouble transitioning back to civilian life. We look at the challenges these veterans face and discuss a new state report looking at women veterans in California.

Guests:

Mary Wiberg, executive director of the State Commission on the Status of Women, a nonpartisan state agency working to promote equality and justice for all women

Seanna Herring-Jensen, director of veteran services for San Joaquin Valley Veterans

Carla Jurczynski, Marine Corps veteran and program director for the Warrior Traditions Program with the Veterans Village of San Diego

Teri Mason, U.S. Navy Hospital Corps veteran currently working with the VA hospital
