Bay Area residents are among those with the highest life expectancies in America, with women in Marin County living the longest to an average age of 85. Researchers at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington compared counties across America, and also discovered that San Franciscans are among the most fit with the lowest obesity rate in the nation. We compare life expectancy rates amongst Bay Area counties, and also look at neighborhood pockets with poorer health that might be hidden in the average numbers.
