In Sacramento, Governor Brown is negotiating with Democrats and Republicans over how to reconcile California’s $26 billion budget deficit. Republicans are steadfast in opposing new taxes, and Democrats are equally adamant that the budget not be balanced by wholesale cuts to social programs. Broadcasting from KQED’s Sacramento studios, we discuss the status of negotiations.
