Ongoing Personnel Audit Finds Nepotism Conflicts at State Tax Department

One in five employees at the tax-collecting Board of Equalization works with a relative, according to a report from the Sacramento Bee. The Board, whose tax administration functions were stripped away by lawmakers in June, has been subject of a series of audits exposing financial misconduct and mismanagement.
