Proposition 60 would mean big changes for the adult film industry. The bill would require porn actors to wear condoms when filming sexual intercourse and for producers to pay for sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing. The measure would also require producers to be licensed by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA). Proponents of Prop. 60 say it would reduce the spread STIs and cut down on HIV treatment costs. But opponents to the bill argue that it is poorly worded and puts workers’ privacy at risk. We’ll discuss the bill.
