Podcasts can transport listeners to the scene of a breaking news story or take them back in time to an important historical event. Best of all, they are accessible to anyone with a smartphone! Learn how to bring podcasting projects into your classroom with this course led by KQED media and curriculum experts. Help your students become journalists and storytellers as they create podcasts about scientific phenomena, current events, literary themes, and more! In this course, you will:
- Capture and edit sound using smartphone apps
- Write compelling scripts that communicate information clearly
- Find and record audio to make your podcast come to life
- Discover tips and tricks for how to use podcasting in your teaching practice
This course includes opening and closing in-person events on Wednesday, June 20 and Wednesday, August 1 at KQED Headquarters. There is a fee of $60 associated with this course.
