On her long-awaited new album, Honey, Robyn dances through the pain of a friend’s death and the dissolution of a long-term relationship, flying through the grief on glittering club beats that whisk her away like magic carpets.

That’s a sentiment we all need to take into 2019, as natural disasters decimate nearby communities, hate groups gain steam and the Trump administration continues to undermine various vulnerable populations’ civil rights. Perhaps the reason why Robyn’s latest work has been received with such fanfare (The New Yorker‘s Jia Tolentino likened the album to a club drug: “a substance that drastically increases your likelihood of dancing and crying simultaneously”) because of her sage ability to hold seemingly contradictory realities, acknowledging the devastation while using dance music as a catalyst to imagine a better tomorrow.

That brings us to the fact that Robyn is playing Oakland’s Fox Theater on Feb. 26, and tickets are sure to sell out instantly.

But wait! A presale for tickets, hosted by Another Planet, starts Thursday, Nov. 15, at 10am. Head to Ticketmaster, click “Got an offer code?” and use the password dyafa to unlock the presale. (Don’t be surprised if they go quickly.)

On Friday, Nov. 16, tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am.
