One reason we had co-host Ariana Proehl on the show this week was to promote next week’s youth takeover at KQED. She’s KQED’s Youth Media Manager, and she’ll be hosting next week’s Do List with Youth Advisory Board member and punk rocker Nick Abraham.

At a time when many young people worry about the world an older generation is leaving them, KQED News will present listeners (and readers) with news stories and commentary from youth at ten Bay Area high schools from April 23 through April 27. Also on the 27th, KQED will present a live Youth Takeover Showcase at the Brava Theatre in San Francisco, hosted by NPR’s Myles Bess, and featuring NPR’s Sam Sanders and KQED’s Sasha Khokha.

For the on-air takeover, details here. For the Brava showcase, details here.
