Join and  for a screening of the film In Defense of Food!

“What should I eat to be healthy?”
Cutting through confusion and busting myths and misconceptions, Michael Pollan shows how common sense and old-fashioned wisdom can help us rediscover the pleasures of eating and avoid the chronic ills so often associated with our modern diet. “Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly plants.”
Based on Pollan’s best-selling book, with director Michael Schwarz (The Botany of Desire) in conversation with Dean Schillinger, MD from the UCSF Hospital and Diabetes Center.
There will be vegetarian goodies from La Mediterranee of Noe Valley before the screening.

We've got three pairs of tickets for the afternoon of Saturday, October 24th to be won.

To have a chance of winning them, just send an email to  with the subject "In Defense of Food" that contains your full name.

From all entries we'll randomly select three winners for a pair of tickets (worth $14 per ticket.) Deadline to enter is Friday, October 23rd at 8:59am PST. Winners will be notified by e-mail on Friday afternoon and tickets will be held at Will Call. You must be a California resident and 18 years or older to participate. Employees of KQED are not eligible to enter.
