Santa Clara County, Measure D

“We need to act now to protect the Santa Clara Valley from wildfires, safeguard clean drinking water and protect disappearing natural areas before they’re gone forever. Measure D will reduce catastrophic wildfire risk by removing hazardous brush, address illegal activity and vandalism in natural open space areas … and prevent overdevelopment of scenic hillsides, natural open spaces, and farmland.”

“How much election cheating are you willing to tolerate? … Do you know all the officials with duties related to local measure elections? County supervisors, registrar of voters, county counsel, boards of trustees? … Bottom line: All the public officials would rather have gullible voters force taxpayers, including themselves, to send every dollar they dream up to one government agency or another. It’s more for them. Less for you.”
